I just called 1-800-EGGHEAD to find out if the x2 56K modems are in stock, since I received a flyer in the mail today.

The woman looked up the part number I supplied from the ad and said that they were not in stock and had been pushed back until March 7.

I hope this is not indicative of the general availability date.

If it is, I must say that US Robotics has misled investors, as they said a few weeks in their latest quarterly report, and "a few days" early last week.

Could this be a sign of some major problems with the technology ?

I have been holding tight, as the company has seemed poised to do well later this year and because the company has always been a kick-butt kind of company. However, "kick-butters" need to come through, and certainly should not be evasive or purposefully misleading.

Does anyone have any other information on a date ? I had been under the impression it would be this week.

(Can't wait to go to the computer stores and count these things flying off the shelves.)
