It is the same person, Al. The case filed by the SEC courtesy of sec.org
It alleges 3 pertinent facts, and I am personally convinced because of the geographic location/address given for Roland is the same as Cayauga (or however the hell it's spelled,) the one for Raleigh B.
The filed case as sketched out by the SEC on their site lists:
1) Baughman's pump and dump scheme occured on Prodigy's MoneyTalk BBS
2) " received payment for his tout and did NOT disclose same
3) " personally sold into his recommendation to buy buy buy.
The company named in this particular complaint is:
International Multi-media Publishers Inc. SYMBOL: DROM
The filed fraud case further states this was a bogus company. It was a complicated shell acquisition by a person who needed a new shell to conduct his old business in but without differentiating to the public
a/w/a and by filing false reports with the SEC regarding new shell and the old company's affairs being one and the same.
Its all there, and this is my personal position:
if a person does it once, he's probably done it again, and there will be more revelations and filings to come.
I can also say I was personally requested by this same RB to check out a canadian company, which I did some asking around about. I found out that said principals and their business practices were historically known to be highly questionable if not outright illegal. I also know that I reported this back to RB.
I told him to stay away from it, and that I personally would NOT touch it.
Then RB posted his belief in the company and made some reference to me in public on that Microcap $Talk BBS when he posted about that mining stock. I also remember publically posting that I did not support his belief in the stock and the general reasons why I wouldn't own it if it was the last one available to invest in. Kinda didn't hear much from Raleigh after that.
Interesting character, but based upon that series of personal conversations with RB, I am NOT suprised that he's been caught and filed upon by the SEC. I truly suspect there are more filings coming, but that is only a wild-assed guess on my part.
FOR the record: I do not own FTEL or DCTC or DROM. I might have bought FTEL once, I'd have to go check my records, but I believe I lost money on the small position. I never bought DCTC, or DROM, nor shorted any of those 3 names either.
