Mechwarrior II is an Activision game, not Spectrum Holobyte's. Furthermore, Mechwarrior II sold squat compared to how Civ II is selling.

In my opinion, I think this stock will pull up on the next quarterly report because the profits from Civ II will show up there. Not to mention the combined smaller profits from their other games (Top Gun, Star Trek TNG for Win 95, etc.).

The stock could go down a little bit from this quarterly report, but the next one should send the stock to high levels.

To me, the formula is simple. Civ II is on the top of the charts for best selling game and will be for quite some time. Spectrum Holobyte has not had any hit games released for a long time and they have never sold a game with the widespread popularity of Civ II. They are also at extremely low levels now. Therefore, come the next quarterly report they will go up since for the first time in awhile, they will have substantial profits with other promising software products on the way for the Christmas season.

Spectrum Holobyte has never had such a strong software position in their entire history as they do this year. They've come a long way from the narrow niche of flight sims with very limited marketability. Also, they are supporting more platforms than before (Sony Playstation) which can only supplement income.
