From the same article:

>>>With Y2K, salespeople have royally screwed up the flow of information. You've got people selling panic or calm, which are the extremes of solutions to the problem. The panic-sellers suggest tunneling under the sidewalk or changing your route drastically to make certain that the piano won't crush you. Those preaching calm suggest the equivalent of shutting one's eyes, ignoring the danger completely, and simply walking at your normal pace beneath the piano.<<<

zdnet.com

Now bear in mind this gem of wisdom comes from the same people who printed an article by Howard Belasco who suggested that the answer to power failures for people who live in high rise buildings was to use a block and tackle pulley system to move items up and down 30, 40, and 60 story buildings. (Did they really let him say that?...You bet...It's zdnet!...What is it with these people and heights?)

Now if the people above me with that stupid "piano" (see brilliant zdnet analogy) are inspired by Howard Belasco you bet I'm changing my route! ROTFLMAO

There's a pot-kettle-black problem with zdnet. Their collective commentaries have taken on an almost plaintive tone as of late...please...Please...PLEASE...REMAIN CALM...DON'T PAAANIC!!! (or even be overly concerned) You gotta know that IPO/stock price thing is bothering them.

Yeah, they're cranking out these articles so fast they forgot to credit the writer with a byline on the last one. <ggg>
