for out of money option, option price = premium ... as far as time premium or risk premium, i think the two are really the same just depends on what you want to call it ... premium figures in the # of days to expiration, stock volatility, and where is the mkt price in relation to the strike price ... there is a famous model to determine that ... people make it a living in determining fair option price and use that to create arbitrage opportunities ... i don't think i am up to that ... but options do present me with additional options to play w/ my money ...
