Mr. t2k,

I though the trial was about MSFT integrating IE into Win95 in an effort to damage Netscape. That is why a preliminary junction was issued then overturned by the Appeals court.

Just before the start of the trial, the DOJ wanted the case expanded to include the monopoly allegations because they had no case based upon the appeals court ruling. I think MSFT objected to the expanded case but was overruled by the judge. MSFT then wanted a delay to prepare for the expanded trial but that to was rejected. I believe that is one of the reasons MSFT defense looks so bad. In addition, the company supposedly damaged still has the majority of market share and as of the end of March will no longer exist.

I hope you are right in that the judge will find in favor of MSFT but I doubt it. His pride was too deeply wounded by the appeals court overturning his decision.
