David,
Thanks for the welcome.
My experience at HNV has to be viewed understanding that I am a NYC lady who was transported to Hanover, Pa...home of all the potato chips and pretzels you could ever want, surrounded by more barns and silos than I have seen in my entire life!!
Actually I was impressed with all the management people that I worked with, which included some very high level managers. The environment is very informal, but I found the management people very intelligent with good visions. I didn't have much dealings with the worker bees, but they have some people working in their call center who have been there forever! Of course, if you live in Hanover, I am not sure how many other opportunities there are!
Their corporate offices in NJ are the opposite extreme.. right on the water, nice offices many with views of Manhattan. The atmosphere is informal there also.
I have good feelings about the company and the direction they are moving, as I understood it, for the part in which I was involved. Unfortunately, I don't think it is appropriate to post anything of the specific nature of my work there, so I am unable to give you more details. However, I will say that upper management and the Board appear to be looking towards the future, using new technology and call center trends to increase profitability.
Let's hope the stock price reflects that one day soon.
Judith
(If there is anyone reading this from Hanover, Pa., please forgive my lack of enthusiasm for your town..but then you probably wouldn't be too crazy about Manhattan either! LOL) |
