<I am not concerned about Y2K and it's direct affects on myself or family. I believe Y2K is just a bump in the road of life.>
Yet you imply that people SHOULD prepare ...
<I have never said for people NOT to prepare, I have always said it's wise to have extra supplies on hand at all times, as disasters, either natural or man-made happen.>
So, what's your call? What do YOU think is reasonable for preparation (food/meds/alternate power) ... 2-hours, 2-weeks, 2 months? You've told us YOU have extra stock on-hand. How much are YOU comfortable with?? Your thoughts might help the many, who think Y2K is just "fluff" and Bill Gates will fix it ... and our government wouldn't let this happen ... and "we as Americans" are very creative, blah blah blah ... so they do NOTHING. Of course since you're Canadian, the "we as Americans" doesn't apply. But most (even Canadians) don't have the extra stuff in their pantry like you do. So, what do you think is reasonable???
<If you go back and start reading this thread, start about March 98, you will see, my above statements are true.>
Which statements are true?
Cheryl
P.S. You post to get attention. Just wanted you to know, I didn't react. Wasn't irritated. Just bored, and had a few moments. I've been busy all week and jumped on-line for about an hour. Found it entertaining how you've been thumping your chest by posting in increased volume (not quality)... since your name was qouted in an article (many posts back) which most have ignored. |
