I feel your pain Beach Bum.
Having said that, allow me to share my views regarding CPQ. One thing I have learned over time, is that If one is going to put money in a company, the least one could do is research the management. Management, IMO, is the single most important factor to consider when thinking about plowing hard earned money into a company's stock. Investing is like buying a business, would you want to work with the current management if you have to go in and run the business day in and day out?
When it comes to 5er, the answer is no, as far as my money is concerned. I can not stand that guy, don't know what it is. He comes across as arrogant, cold, and full of BS everytime he appears on tv. Couple this with the fact that CPQ is changing their strategy every other day, while their competitors have stuck to a simple game plan for the last 5 years, if not more, and everything becomes crystal clear as to what happend today with CPQ.
My view of CPQ will not change regardless of how many Zips they include in their models. In fact, based on how popular CPQ models with Zips are, IOM should change the way they do business with CPQ. Afterall, who needs who?
