Vic,

Speaking of investing in general, I believe that history shows
that those with the longest positions in a good stock usually
end up with the biggest dollar gain over time. Why? Because
longtermers only have to time the market twice: the day they buy and
the day they sell. Traders will eventually miscalculate
the timing of the market and sell at the wrong time therefore
creating a problem on the next jump up (fewer shares higher price).
Traders will maybe win a few short battles on the monetary front but
in a good stock they will likely lose the war.

I think the key to the longterm success factor may be this:

Pick the right stocks, Buy at the best price, Stay with it until
you truly believe it hasn't a penny to move up and the next stock split is a couple of years off. gggg

Generally I would say that the biggest obstacles to longterming a
any stock are patience and lack of excitement along with the failure to understand the stock and its long potential.

Question: How many times have you heard people say I bought XXX
then sold then it went to the moon? There was something that they missed or they would've been on the lunar landing so to speak.
