guess what? it worked!

very concise instructions, too. :) i knew there had to be a way. but i still gotta' figure the browser shouldn't operate this way.

the only drawback to the method you've outlined is that it sends 2 pieces of mail to the trash. but that isn't a big deal. i am pleased to finally get this answer.
