V3 vs PIII for a P200: Bad editorial! To recap the editorial, the author has a P200 with a Voodoo1 card. He decides that a V3 will be the appropriate upgrade for him. This is incorrect for several reasons, also pointed out in the "Talkback" section beneath the article: 1) A V2, much less a V3, on a P200 (not MMX) gives no to neglible performance increase. I know. I had one. I gained .2 FPS in Q2 going from a Monster I to a Wicked3d. It's possible the V2 was running at 800x600, but I don't think so. 2) The only V3 usable by him would be the V3 2000. A great buy at $129, but the author thinks he'll want to use it when he upgrades to a PIII. And waste that AGP bandwidth? Tim
