How about a hostile takeover? It's been tried before, and was not successful due to a last-minute poison pill that Case and the AOL directors put in. But would T try it again, and at the current market cap? Hard to imagine. If they tired it we might double our money, but I would not be interested in a tender offer even for a double. Just wild speculation...

I think more likely would be either AOL spinning off its ISP service and selling it to T, or AOL entering a joint venture with T.

However, there is the AOL/WorldCom partnership to consider.

This is all very complex, and I suspect it is all exploratory talking among gorillas. Whatever Case comes up with, I'm sure we shareholders will profit.
