Little Engine, In answer to your post to me last night:
You are responding to this message from Little Engine on Feb 26 1999 8:47PM EST
<<<<Just curious why you wont answer these simple questions here and now for the record in a public forum>>> For three reasons:
1) Because you apparently refuse to answer such questions yourself, not mentioning any of your possible ties to hyping this company.
You are wrong again, I will be more than happy to answer any questions I ask you. Your assertion that I have ever avoided answering them is also false. I don't recall ever having been asked these question by anyone prior to this post from you, although I HAVE answered them of my own volition on several occasions in the past. But for you Little Engine I will answer them again for the record in a public forum; I Mark Joseph Crump, Have never been employed by anyone or any company that is or has been involved in the securities field. I have never received any compensation from anyone or company that is involved in any aspect of the trading of securities of any kind whatsoever. I have never shorted any stock with the exception of a few hundred shares of CIEN about a month ago. (a trade I lost money on by the way). I have never been involved nor do I personally know any venture capitalists ( companies, individuals or groups)unless you count us individual investors as venture capitalists and we both know that is not whom we are talking about. I am a 41 year old retired construction worker who up to about a year and a half ago never actively traded stocks. I have never had insider information on any stock that I have ever traded and have and have never been involved with DGIV, MTEI or INFE or any other company in any manner whatsoever other than that of an individual investor and have never tried to HYPE any stock, any where for personal gain for myself or anyone else. I have been over exuberant a few times in my postings when I believed that DGIV was on the verge of a NASDAQ listing and the share price was running last year. Hell who wasn't most of us were up a considerable amount of money on paper at that time. I have never realized a profit from my investment in DGIV. The fact is I have REALIZED losses in excess of well over $200,000 because of my investments in DGIV alone. Again these are all verifiable facts and fully documented in Morgan Stanley Dean Witters records of my accounts. And I have never and will never be involved in hypeing this stock or any other stock. I have and always will post the truth as I believe it to be at the time of any post I make or ever have.
2) "Because I have answered every single one in the past on SI. Had you actually spent some time reading previous posts of mine, before declaring yourself an expert on my motivations, you might know the answers."
Again this is a blatant attempt on your part to discredit me. I defy you to show one post where I ever "declared myself an expert on your motivations" . All I have done is ask you to answer a few simple yes or no questions. And why should I spend my valuable time searching all over SI trying to find answers to these questions when they are ones I feel any honest person would freely answer when asked.
3) Because once you get the answers to these tedious, whining queries, you won't stop asking them, any more than a five-year-old in a shopping mall will wail "Buy that for me!" only once. (The answers are all "no," by the way.. I don't want to make you do any "DD" or rational thinking concerning me.)
Again you see fit with this statement to attempt to color me in a negative light. Why do you consider these simple questions "tedious and whining" I simply asked them to try and get some answers to a few questions I had about you and your motives for what you do. Then you go on and compare me to a 5 year old child. Again another attempt to belittle me. Lets be honest here Little Engine you came after me yesterday with a post insinuating that I have been or are involved in illegal activities regarding DGIV and MTEI. I did not come after you. And if you had bothered to do any in depth DD on me you would have also found that I have answered all you questions about me previously also. Why do you find it so hard to believe an individual can lose in excess of 6 figures on a BB stock and still feel that it has the potential to be a good investment at current prices ? Call it inexperience, call it greed , call it stupid to watch watch as my investment in DGIV went from a one time paper profit of well over 6 figures to a loss of well over 6 figures all three are correct. But don't ever accuse me being part of any illegal activity. You state in reason#3 that the answers to my questions are NO. Well for that I thank you and I am glad to hear it. After all, that is all I asked you for. You on the other hand have tried to discredit me without any bases whatsoever. You are a fool in my opinion. And I have no doubt that one day if you keep up this irresponsibility you will be taken to task for it. You need to be a little more careful in what you publicly accuse people or companies of.
Your next point: My two questions for you: If you believe in this stock so much, why did you dump all your shares?
And if the stock is so cheap, why aren't you buying it?
My answer to this is simple, first of all I never sold all my shares. My wife and I sold most of our DGIV holdings when it broke the $2 level on the way down for a very simple reason. I had foolishly over invested in a BB company and we had lost most of our savings because of it at the time I sold. By the way my average cost in DGIV was in excess of $5 I sold for less than $2 this is also documented in my account records. Your other point of "And if the stock is so cheap, why aren't you buying it?" I have been buying. I bought another 5000 at 1.375 another 10,000 at $1.23 and my last 10,000 at $1.0625. I would buy more but I am about all in at this point. I have bought because I fully believe at these levels DGIV has the potential to be a very profitable investment for my wife and I.
You then go on to post: "Just curious" what excuse you will come up to avoid answering them.
I need no excuses in my life and never have. I tell it like it is and as you can see from this post I have no problem answering your questions in a public forum and for the record. On top of that you had absolutely no bases for insinuating that I would come up with excuses instead of answers to your question. Again this is an attempt to try and take something away from my integrity.
You end this post of yours with the word PEACE. I find this odd since almost every post I have ever seen of yours does nothing but create conflict. You post insinuations , not facts, and on top of that you think people are gullible enough to believe your insinuations at face value. Little Engine, I posted to you yesterday that if you ever produced PROOF that any investment that I am in or will ever be in is a fraud, that I would be your strongest ally. Well although I always appreciate knowing as many FACTS about a company I am invested in as possible, be they good or bad, I must retract my statement. I think your motives may be true but I detest the way you go about what you do. I don't appreciate what you have accused me of and I meant every word I posted to you yesterday. Now feel free to send this post to the SEC or anyone else you think could actually disprove A SINGLE WORD OF IT. I stand by this post and any other post I have ever or will ever make on SI. I appreciate your answer to my questions about you and if you took offense at my asking you have my apologies but I just wanted to know. Thanks again for answering them. Sincerely MarkC. |
