I understand very clearly what you are saying Bill.
I made a Zitel short my #1 investment for all of 1996 and 1997.
Now that a forced buy in made me cover 75% of a now unshortable Zitel.
An ALTIF short position is my # 1 investment, only this time it is a
much smaller per cent of my overall investment capital. In Sept. of '97 ,
when Zit soared to over 25, the crooks behind Zitel almost squeezed me.
My account was at 30 % margin level and under 30 % during one day.
I choose not to repeat this in the future, no point in being right and broke.
Now ALTIF although my #1 position, is at slightly less than 10% of
my investment capital.
Ps: now rich and semi-retired, quit a bs partnership and going back to college
and running a couple of small side businesses.

Sure is a nice day
