Ken--You don't understand what a wonderful cheap source of entertainment zdnet articles have become in my household. I was writing my response as my husband and kid were impatiently waiting on me to go to dinner because we had reservations. I had them literally rolling on the floor laughing their asses off with the "everday appliances" harming us scenario. We went through the "kitchen of death" then started on the bathrooms and worked our way through the rest of the house. I even sent a reply to the "talk back" discussion forum following the article with some of our more imaginative means of demise. I'm certain "after being reviewed by an editor" it will never be posted if for no other reason than it contained a link that would take a reader (and their much coveted eyeballs) off zdnet to a site with a serious discussion of y2k trade issues.
