ok, the street wants revnue from dell. Not happy w. erning alone.
well, MD is going to give it to them ...dell going in sub 1k biz spells trouble for cpq. I actually like Stevel at ML. He has made better calls then Laura (PC analyst at ML).

sub 1k biz will bring in revenue for dell, and small servers will bring in big margins for dell. Demand for notebooks will grow faster then desk tops as people start getting into their 2nd and 3rd pc for home.
just my 2cents... what do i know but in Dell we trust it sez so on my DELLnote book now.

Merrill Lynch computer analyst Steve Milunovich cut his 1Q
earnings estimate for COMPAQ COMPUTER to $0.30 per share from
$0.35 per share previously, his office said on Friday. No further
details were immediately available. The move comes a day after
Milunovich commented in a research note that the PC industry's
long-term revenue growth rates may be slowed by price wars and
growing customer demand for lower-priced computer systems. He said
the trend could spell trouble for Compaq rival Dell Computer Corp.
However, he had noted that PC demand and stocks "should be fine in
the near term." Milunovich has held a neutral rating on Compaq.
