Who started this Y2K and home appliance thing? My guess, it must have been a Y2K doomsayer.

Everyone here must recall radio talk shows and print, where the Y2K "EXPERT" would say your TV, VCR, MICROWAVE, TOASTER, AUTOMOBILE, etc...could fail because of the embedded chips not recognizing the year 2000.

I remember one guy who said (Not exact quote ) I am worried about the little old lady, who's electronic furnace thermostat fails in the middle of winter, because of Y2K...blah blah blah..."

Another I remember, this was in the fall of last year. As the show was closing, the guest said "Come Jan. 1, 2000 your investments will be gone, come to the seminar tonight"

People who play on the emotions and fear of others with the Y2K subject, make me want to PUKE MY GUTS OUT.
