Majorette ?

Kat,

<<..Did GRIN buy a French company in the past several months?>>

The company they bought recently was the Ark Foundation, a US
business, which sells the parrot puzzles (link there from grand.com).
GRIN has been busy on this one, judging from my communication with the
company (see my speculation below). Are you thinking of the deal that
GRIN has negotiated with Majorette for the exclusive distribution of
their products ? Majorette is a French company, now owned by Ideal
Toy Corp (best known perhaps for Rubik's Cube - remember that one !).
Here's a link showing some of the products:

film.queensu.ca

There seem to be many collectors' sites buying/selling old Majorette
toys, for example:

breithaupts.com

That little car was a '15 bagger' in 28 years - that's more than
10% per year. I'm thinking many of the sales of the new toys will be
to people who buy these simply as future collectibles, to be sold
off 20 or 30 years later, to help finance retirement ?!

My guesses on forthcoming GRIN announcements:

(1) French Furby ??
(2) Important announcement on Ark products ??

...we'll see.

Frank
