Tim: Re: technology and stock ... Unfortunately, the world's best technology will not overcome management mistakes by the marketing and sales organizations. Poor decision making and inappropriate timing can take any company down. Likewise, poor technology doesn't necessarily mean the failure of the company. Shrewd marketing and sales, combined with successful positioning of the product and related services can turn a loser into a successful entity. Thus, quality of technology and level of stock prices are two entirely separate things. This is, indeed, unfortunate. If it were as simple as picking the best technology with the guarantee that the associated company would also be the best investment, this investing game would be simple for us techies. Regards, TED
