Oh Gaughie, you have more writing talent than 99% of the rest of the world---and more than that, you have perception.
We are back from the afternoon show and Dan and I have decided to go back for the evening performance. THe acts will be different again, and we are just having such a good time watching all these young people. Any time I see children and teens giving so much time and effort to something positive I get excited and start crying. And being the audience IS important!!!!! Don't diminish that! What else tells them they're doing something right?

You should have seen this girl with a jumprope!!!! It was totally unreal what she did. And this little tiny girl with a hula hoop! SHe did gymnastics and dance while twirling the hoop! I can't even keep it going just standing there. THe funniest thing this afternoon was three dentists and their families doing the Dentist Song from Little Shop of Horrors. Most moving goes to the twins who did an interpretative dance to a Celine DIon song. THey were so perfect--identical and beautiful in white, their dance was sensual and innocent at the same time.
What is it about youth that is so profoundly moving?

THe boys were great again. This time they had colored lights spinning around the stage-cool. They dedicated their act to the Girls' Swim Team and all the girls were there and went crazy screaming. Ammo is a sex symbol. (LIke me in Camelot, says Dan. Sure sure, I humor him)
