cliff, from the Desktop, right click on My Computer, Click on Properties, Click on Device Manager, If you have any Yellow Question Marks this would be one way to check which device is the problem. If you have PCI one and two identical then one driver should suffice for both. Jot down where the Yellow Question marks are, click on them and Remove. They are corrupted anyway. You may have two identical drivers that are in conflict with each other. Any duplications, remove one of them. Try and remove all Yellow Question marks.

Try re-booting maybe three of four times, win98 does funny things at times, mostly good.

Click on all the devices here and get a good understanding what's what.
