There are plenty of people in the world willing to pay hundreds per share for Internet stocks. This means they believe the Internet is really big stuff now, and will get bigger. Therefore.....Somebody has to sell the computers and software that will enable people to get ON the Internet. Someone has to sell the upgraded computers that people are going to want in order to take advantage of what the Internet has to offer. Therefore I see all this pessimism about declining profits for CPQ, Dell, etc, as being somewhat overblown. CompUSA has a definite role and niche (actually many niches) to fill now and in the future.
