Hi Tom,

What you say seems to ring true to me and I agree. I'm not sure whether the cable companies will ever get their act together for telephony and network connections but if the Phone companies want to shoot themselves in the foot with a per/minute charge that no one can afford, someone else will step in and provide the service at a reasonable rate.

In fact just yesterday I heard of a consortium of Major players developing a worldwide satelite phone system. This is to be billed at half the current rates. Its not to be used as a suppliment to the current system but to replace the phone system as we know it. This is to be somewhat on the order of what Bill Bates suggested a couple of years ago. Rumor only I suppose.
