Ramsey, the worldwide potential market for the cellular phone worldwide is 1 billion units, with half of the using CDMA. 90% of the usage will be outside the US, thus America will have about 100 million units.

Qualcomm is expanding its production of handsets by adding 175000 sq ft facility. (That 450M preferred shares offering would partly be used for this purpose). This will be located in San Diego. Why San Diego you might ask, and not Hong Kong or some Asian countries with cheaper labor? The answer is that the company likes to have its engineers work closely with the production lines since the changing of technology is happening so fast.

Right now Qcom is testing 4 cities in China (average population 3 million). When that is completed, the plan is to test for an additional 16 cities. So it would encompass about 60 million population. This is actually just a drop in the bucket for a country of 1.2 Billion.

As the old cliche: if one Chinese gets a headache just once a year, and take two aspirin, could you imagine how many aspirin tablets are needed for China? <GGG>

In summary, I am feeling more and more bullish for this company. Look for the action to start tomorrow when analysts are back in their offices.

Ramsey, good luck to you.

Regards

Andre
