"Debt" is short-term bonds that were recently downgraded to junk bond status, meaning that they probably have very high yield to compensate for the rating. Bond owners have to get paid before stockholders, so they should be quite safe (no I'm not related to Milken...). Anybody look into the yield on AAPL short-term bonds? It will tell you a lot about the valuation of the company. B
