Closing arguments in the non-jury case are scheduled for Friday in Washington's U.S. District Court. Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson heard testimony in August but put the matter on hold to preside over the antitrust trial of Microsoft Corp. Jackson has already ruled against the Moores' request to be compensated for so-called lost profits previously estimated at almost $1.8 million--money they say they would have earned if they didn't have to take so much time away from their audio-visual services business, Techniarts Engineering, to coordinate their daughter's care. The Moores' lawyer has asked Jackson to reconsider. washingtonpost.com
