For General Information.

It will probably come as no surprise to many people on this thread that there are at least some vegetarian groups (known as vegans) that are opposed to crop gene modification (GM). An example of one diatribe can be found at:

In fairness, I should hasten to add that most of the vegan websites I skimmed did not seem to take a position on the matter
