No IPO and no rumor, reread the question.Just a sense that a company name change at this time in the market may be construed as an IPO.
May seem far-fetched, but look at the reasoning.
Net stocks can make outrageous run ups due only to the sentiment of the day or hour. They may be in the right place at the right time.
Egames sounds like Ebay.
May get CNBC time, particularly if moving.
Egames has carved a niche for themselves and adding new distribution channels via the "internet."
New symbol and new name will get extra press and generate additional interest.

In essence, it's a whole new company with a very sound company supporting it.
