I think the problem that SEEQ management were facing was credibility.
Not in terms of running the company (though I'm sure that many small
investors might disagree !), but mainly in their market. Which of
the major players would wish to source a key component from a
company with the financial weakness of SEEQ ?

Under the circumstances, I think that management have made a good
decision. All parties seem to do reasonably well out of it. We
debated a few months ago how much SEEQ would be worth, and we thought
that $2 - $2.50 might be about right. Under these circumstances,
the sale at $2.50 - $3.00 (-ish) seems reasonable. Furthermore,
I can't see any reason why LSI mightn't actually perform better than
SEEQ would have done, so maybe we haven't really lost a long term
opportunity !
