Hey Sprintcar,cool name. I don't have specific answers to your questions,However it occurs to me that Bodine's failure to qualify may have been a failure to qualify in the first round of qualifying. As you know there are usually two rounds of qualifying, with round one determining the first 20 positions. As for the bit about listening at 100 mph, I take this to mean that they tested after the first round of qualifying. As for listening from the top of a trailer... uh...I don't know. ps. Outlaws will be in my town in a few weeks, can't wait...regards
