It postulates a fantasy: Namely that direct is seeing declines in ASPs of much less than 1/2 of what distributors are seeing. Such a wide disparity doesn't seem possible, but even if it was -- it wouldn't be sustainable and that's probably the point that is keeping a lot of DELL heads in happy-land, but it can't go on.

DELL's ASPs are going to tumble ... why not get out while it happens ... buy back if and when it looks like there is going to be a real turnaround?
