The only difference is that it will not hold as much information and therefore may need to be replaced sooner(because it is full). Since drive sales parallel computer sales, many of us likely replace our entire computer when our drive becomes full. At any rate, large drives can be a good investment if you do not like to change equipment often. My 8.4GB drive still has over a GB left after a year and a half. It really started filling up fast in the last six months since I installed my cable modem. I can really see how the bandwidth increases in the next few years will increase the need for storage. I always choose the audio or video version of news casts when they are available. They are just so much easier than reading articles. I never dreamed I could use up 8.4GB 18 months ago. I don't know how much storage a 45 minute conference call would take but I will want to save them for reference as soon as they are available. When more bandwidth is available a lot of the reports we are now reading may be available in audio or video formats.
