The market makers of this and every stock make money from the volume. By increasing the price radically as they've been doing with OVIS, they tease the uninformed investor into jumping in with some money. Then they drop the price and the poor investor jumps out with a loss, then they raise the price and a different uninformed investor jumps in. . . . "Keep the suckers interested" is the motto.

Good ol' capitalism.
