Sure Jeri, first just look over some of the past posts from SI which are compiled in area specially designated for collection of posts that could help understand how to best trade our picks, which are basically like buying or trading any stocks. 1)Best posts from Silicon Investor: marketgems.com then we also have 2)The Well-Informed Trader which is general strategies for using certain indicators, understanding TA terms and 'How To' guidelines on how to the same data, etc).. marketgems.com More additions are always being added to that list. We also have a: 3)'Watch List glossary' marketgems.com to help set up your trading platforms (i.e. setting up alerts, using indicators that work on different data rather than indicators that overlap and many explanation of technical terms to help with some Trading Tactics for General Plays and Earnings Plays.. I will also gather some of the posts explaining the abbreviations for the watch lists from the thread and add these as well. Eventually all this will be compiled in a special trading manual "Techno-Fundamental Analysis: Trading the "Anticipatory Upswing" in Earnings Plays". or something like that. books: There are about a half dozen but Elder's Book Trading For a Living is a good general book for seeing the entire forest and not just a jumble of trees like some other books, Electronic Trading 1, and III by Joe Ross and Marke Cherlin, not a cheap investment there. I never got #2 Any book by Martin Pring. I have 3 of his CD Rom's.. John Murphy's The Visual Investor. I couldn't put it down, but don't go by me. Jake Bernstein's The Compleat Day Trader is now a classic and his second book just came out. McMillian On Options is one I love to use as a reference and every time I read and study another chapter.. I probably know about half the book real well but only have a light need for the rest of it. I also study the two manuals from both Metastock 6.5 and Telescan Investor's Platform. I'd rather be a power user of two software programs than dabble in many and know little. 2 I'm testing when I have time to read are: Trading with Oscillators: Pinpointing Market Extremes .... it emphasize stochastics, momentum and RSI which are my favorite oscillators. The Arms Index.. An Introduction to volume analysis by Richard Arms Jr.
