WTDG, Do you happen to know the cost of one of these units? Also, I would assume the cost of one to drop if production is ramped up. And, how much value would be put on someone's life when it is known that there is a device out there that could possibly keep them alive until a replacement heart comes along? Certainly, these insurance companies would never have endorsed the unit if they felt that it was beyond the scope of their coverage in at least some instances, wouldn't you agree? Does anyone out there know the actual mortality rate averaged throughout. Maybe one needing this device would have to travel to a hospital set up to handle this procedure in order to be reasonably assured of success. And so, what would be the mortality rate throughout these hospitals? Anyone? EDWIN K.
