Jim,

Re: K7

The k-3 seems to be hitting the mark and the reviews seem quite positive. It seems to hold up well except in 3d against PIII. When price is taken into account there seems to be no contest IMHO.

I am surprised at how well pricewatch has been holding up 400Mhz K6-2 pricing. It seems to be pretty much steady for last 60 days.

I think the K7 will come in May due to the 30th anniversary. Worst case it will be a pre-announcement and real production may be in Q3.

The only real issue seems to be Dresden and the copper process. I had read somewhere that the CMP - i think- was a big issue for the Cu guys. And Useless has been stating that he has heard of problems there.

I think that's the only cloud on the horizon for AMD right now.

Fab 25 can only take tem to about 6-7M pcs at capacity so I hope they can get the copper process up fast.

Regards,

Kash
