AND AT EXACTY THE RIGHT TIME???>> Manire's and Cowell's huge options came from USR - 3Com had to take them as part of the acquisition, along with their golden parachutes. USR richly rewarded their top 10 as compared to the masses - much different than 3Com. 3Com's practice is more in line with industry standards - when 3Com repriced options several years ago for the employees the executive committee was excluded.
