Bosco, the expert's list was: environmental problems. elderly problem - China, by 2020, is estimated to have 25% of the world's >60 population. Rise of regionalism. social stratification - the have and have nots. as a side note of this problem, there is huge floating population in China, moving from place to place in search of better jobs and wealth. Unemployment for this group can be dangerous because they have no safety net. crime - not only corruption but all the normal stuff that comes with developing countries. economy - how to sustain growth of the 1990s. military - smooth transition of military owned business to private sector. population - at 1.19% growth rate and a base of 1.2 billion now, it can add up.
