The gentleman writing this article hated to see the automobile put the buggy whip makers out of business. Plus who is pulling who's chain? Don't the brick and motor stores like CompUSA have Internet sites to do Etailer business? This whole thing is more about keeping fat margins for the channel then about the future. I wonder if the channel feels bad about making businesses more efficient by replacing people with computers. That was the big selling point for PCs. I bet the VARs go to bed every night and feel bad about all the secretaries, and telephone receptionists that have been replaced by their services. Now they are crying foul when the computer might replace them. Sort of ironic isn't it. You bunch of cry babies need to figure out how to make it work for you. Stop fighting progress. You are not going to be able to stop it.
