gregor, Indeed astrology is a sin, as I noted it is a false religion. Understanding the Biblical significance of the stars is another matter. This is not to say that there is prophetic significance, no, I do not think in our day and time. This is not because there is not prophetic significance there for it must indeed be, if the Word is written in the stars, as it says plainly in the Bible. The problem is there is no one who knows how to read this celestial version of the Word, no one left. Perhaps God in His Wisdom has let it be lost from man's knowledge because we now have His Word written and His Spirit of Truth indwelling in those that believe. And this is certainly more than sufficient for our needs. So I feel no temptation to astrology, with its false precepts, and so feel free to wonder at God's handiwork. And knowing a few of the meanings He has placed in the skies, mentioned and alluded to briefly in scripture, helps confirm my reverence and deepen my awe.
There is nothing like sitting peacefully on a hillside, on a rare clear night, one can look through the eons of the ages of starlight and think and dream of the great power of God, who has not left the very structure of the universe undecorated with His Truth.
Eternity then whispers on the wind, as one looks deeply into the soul of creation, with love and yearning for its Creator.
My dearest friend and one whom I used to street minister with, was healed this week of a heart problem. Thanks to God's Grace in hearing the prayers of a few believers. He was going in for one final test and then angioplasty(sp?) the next day after we prayed. Instead he walked out after the testing in perfect health. I didn't even have time to place a request on the threads, he only told me about it the night before. WOW!
God Bless,
