I think you're right in that CGI wants to ensure a fair price and win-win situation for both parties - neither party would want a deal based on a short term price blip due to a share split. As for timing, I really don't have any idea. I have seen enough of CGI management to trust that they will act en temps et lieu, i.e. when the time is right to do so and in terms of what's best for shareholders, not the momentum players.
