Basically, a relatively minor software maintenance issue that a) is usually irrelevant and b) has been blown way out of proportion...mostly by "Y2K "experts", "consultants" and the born-again Christian right, who embraces this as a beautiful tie-in to their looney millenial apocalypse superstitions. <<then the hoax is getting a lot bigger>> I can promise you that nothing bad or unusual is going to happen on Jan. 1 as a result of the so-called "millenium bug".
