Thnak you for the informative answer. i have a cable modem "road-runner" service and a 333 with 128 dram. i have plenty of room on my system. the problem crops up with mbt's server or on friday the arca server was out for a while. now this a.m. i can't log on to the rtIII system at all. i have e-mailed the folks at mbt to see what the problem is once again. seems as if there has been one problem after another lately.
i need to experiment and learn all of the rules that pertain to the various order routing options. i am not trading "fast and furious" until i feel i have a good understanding of the entire system. i did fairly well with schwab on-line and had a separate levelII scree up watching. i had no presence or ability with them in the nasdaq market. the price would have to exceed my limit price in order for me to get filled. even with this i was averaging 4 wins out of 5 trades for 1998. the big problem i had was in holding some bogus long positions in the vry beginning when i was too reluctant to bite off a loss.
you know the story and how it goes.
sincerely,
luanne clay-russell
