Sometimes when an analyst moves to the establishment it is a sure signal that his predictive powers have evaporated. Do you remember Ellaine Garzarelli ? After her stopped clock call in 1987 she demanded, and got, a $1M salary. She was even in demand to do underwear commercials. But after a few highly publicized predictive calls did not work out, she had to find alternative employment writing an unsuccessful news letter.
