JDN - Which also really means that Intel should do well later this year into next year. Current PIII in my opinion is a 'stopgap' till the second half, when the .18 chips are released, with 4x AGP, RDRAM, 133mhz bus and much better performance. The interesting thing is that Intel usually releases chips for desktops first using smaller geometries, in this case Geyserville looks to be first. On the other hand, you will not get full performance unless you are plugged in. It will also be interesting to see how manufacturers handle the cost issue, from what I have read some boxmakers are looking at things like docking stations with fans which will be needed to bleed off heat when the laptop is in full power mode. It will be interesting...

Regards,
John
