wwmd - AMD -

Finally finished up Tom's review of K6-3 and PIII. Definitely a good read.

Although, this won't have much effect on AMD or Intel, because every comparison always seems to come out the same. While AMD might have a better chip in some cases, it has almost no software support (3D-Now!) and doesn't seem to care. They never market themselves highly, so Intel gets all the press. For them to even begin to make something of themselves, they would either need to absolutely blow away Intel in a performance comparison (will never happen) or fire all their management and completely revise their objectives and decisions (also, will probably never happen). Until one of these things occur, their stock price will be stuck in the range it has been in for the past 5 years.

llater,
