Registry Magic's Virtual Operator Receives Siemens Ready Certification Company Joins Select Group of Telecom Industry Leaders BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 1999--Registry Magic (Nasdaq:RMAG - news) announced today that its Virtual Operator has been verified as Siemens Ready(SM) by Siemens Information and Communication Networks, Inc. Registry Magic, a leader in speech recognition solutions, joins a select group of Siemens Ready industry leaders, including Comverse Information Systems, Dialogic, SAI and Symantec Corporation among others.
Registry Magic's Virtual Operator is a turnkey, speech recognition auto attendant that performs the tasks of a live operator. It answers up to twelve calls at once, eliminates the need for inefficient touch-tone menus and has the potential to save a company thousands of dollars in operational costs, improve customer service and enhance corporate image. Utilizing a Microsoft NT platform, and named a 'National Treasure' by the Smithsonian Institution, the Virtual Operator continues to be recognized with a number of industry awards and product certifications.
''Our Virtual Operator has successfully completed the appropriate steps to earn the Siemens Ready certification,'' said Neal Bernstein, vice president of business development for Registry Magic. ''We recognize the significance of participating in the Siemens Ready program, the added level of value and performance this provides to Siemens' existing customer base as well as the potential market opportunity for Registry Magic.''
The Siemens Ready testing was managed by Siemens and conducted at the Siemens lab in Santa Clara, Calif. The testing verified that the Virtual Operator can be used with Siemens' Hicom 300E version 6.4 and 9751 version 9005.6 communications servers. Only those products that meet Siemens' standards for telephony interoperability may display the Siemens Ready logo.
''Registry Magic is the first Siemens Ready partner to offer speech recognition technology,'' said Mark Cheeseman, product manager for the Siemens Ready Program. ''With Siemens Ready certification, customers can be assured that the Virtual Operator will enhance and integrate seamlessly with Siemens' communication servers and key systems.''
