Did I miss something? I've checked all of the news releases from EMC and I find no mention of a switch vendor. (Actually, no mention of partners at all.) Why is everyone assuming that Brocade is the winner here? Seems to me that, if they were, they would be shouting it from the roof tops. We do know that Ancor is a member of the EMC alliance and Brocade is not. Is that significant? In addition, with all due respect to Walter, an established relationship such as that between McData and Brocade is not necessarily an in. Companies change their minds all the time. Didn't Ancor actually take business away from Brocade recently?

I share your concerns. I'm long since April, 1996 and my patience has been sorely tested; however, I've got a feeling that there is a lot more to this (fibre channel) story that needs to unfold and I'm going to take a deep breath and wait a little longer.
