Linux is not owned by any particular company. The software itself can be downloaded for free or purchased in CD-ROM format with no manuals from any number of places for literally a couple of bucks. There are a few companies, like Red Hat, that sell distributions of the software on CD-ROM, manuals and support.

I'm not familiar with any public company that makes a lion's share of its revenues/profits from Linux. Maybe someone else here does.
